Meet our Presidential Team
IFE's Presidential Team represents the Institution at the highest level, supporting our mission to advance fire safety across the globe.
International President (26-27), Mark Reilly, serves as a powerful voice for the profession—championing best practice, engaging with key stakeholders, and attending major events throughout the international fire sector. Drawing on extensive operational and governance expertise from across the Australasian and global fire community, Mark brings a deep commitment to integrity and professional excellence to the role.
Alongside him, International President-Elect (26-27) Russ Timpson, brings a wealth of experience from his time in charge of major airport infrastructure projects and through his work improving fire safety within the tall building environment. In his supporting role, Russ helps to maintain continuity, amplify the Institution’s impact, and prepare to assume the International Presidency in 2027.
Together, the Presidential Team works in close partnership to foster collaboration, promote IFE’s global initiatives, and represent our growing international membership at major international functions and sector events.
Together Mark and Russ are supported by Past International President (25-26) James Lane who championed professional competence and positive change across the fire sector during his tenure. He played a key role in discussions surrounding the Grenfell Tower Inquiry recommendations, fire engineer registration and strengthened sector relationships, promoting knowledge sharing through international events. James will be on hand to support the wider team with a handover of key priorities, initiatives and stakeholder relationships, alongside ongoing guidance based on their experience. He will also be available in an advisory capacity, offering insight to support effective decision-making.
